A brief view of The BIS Company history
BIS - Business Integration Solutions, was founded in 2003 with an innovative proposition to create the next level Demand Signal Management tool.
Some of the key design goals were that the information provided be generated in a collaborative way and be extremely easy to use for all players in the supply chain.
These tools strive to put in place the perfect balance between the demand and supply signals and the available inventory.
The BIS Company founders, Flavio Carvalho, Milton Nishimaki and Robson Munhoz, are IT industry executives that had the vision to blend their experience with what they recognized as a critical need in the retail sector. Their goal was to design a collaborative tool to resolve the stock-outs and phantom inventory problems that result in lost sales. These problems continuously plague the retail sector and adversely impact customer satisfaction. Their initial focus was on Consumer Packaged Goods.
